Guilherme Gehr

Biography

Brazilian director and animator, Guilherme is best known for his film Plantae and for his co-direction in O Homem na Caixa – short films that have won dozens of international awards. Graduated in Cinema and Video by the Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina, he first dedicated himself to art direction and scenography in fictional live-action works. Being passionate about drawing, in 2010 he turned his attention to animation and developed his techniques in a very independent way in favor of his own style. He is also a paleoartist and received two awards in 2017 for reconstructions of Brazilian paleoenvironments.
