Pino Zac’s human and professional activity starting from the house (an abandoned castle a few kilometers from L’Aquila) where he was found lifeless in, in 1985. In the palace everything is pending since 1985: everything is in its place, brushes, colors, tables, clothes, beds, medicines. Through the witnesses of Valter Zarroli, Riccardo Mannelli, Vincino, Jacopo Fo, Vincenzo Sparagna and Drahomira Biligova we relive one of the most stimulating experience of Italian satire with the editorial staff of Il Male, which Pino was not only the director of but also a guide, a talent scout, who was able to open a new satirical season that comes up until today.
Pino Zac was an illustrator born in Trapani and he was the director of the film “The Nonexistent Knight” based on the book by Italo Calvino. He chose to settle in Abruzzo, returning to the area whenever work commitments allowed him.
