SYNOPSIS
Aurora, a young teacher in an Arbresh village in Basilicata, sees preserving her language and traditions as an act of resistance. Dino, her engineer fianc, loves his homeland but no longer believes it can offer him a future. When he receives a job offer abroad, their approaching Byzantine wedding exposes the distance between their desires: staying to safeguard a disappearing culture or leaving to build a life elsewhere. Twenty-five years later, an older Aurora inhabits a parallel, melancholic dimension, where past, present and future begin to overlap.
